Espar Heaters has a wide range of fuel operated air and coolant heaters used in various applications to preheat engines and heat interior spaces. Some examples of Espar heater applications:
- An Airtronic D2 - in the bunk of a truck
- Cargo vans- D2/D4 - diesel or gas
- Delivery Vans - D2/D4-supplemental heat
- Engine Preheat - Hydronic 5- Preheating the truck engine for easy starting in winter and instant defrosting capability
- School Bus - Hydronic M2 engine preheat and supplemental heat, instant defrosting capabilities
- Pick truck - Hydronic 5- warm engine and interior
Espar heaters draw a small amount of fuel from the vehicles fuel tank and via its own fuel metering pump, meters the correct amount of fuel to the heater. In the case of the Airtronic D2, our most popular heater, the heater will run for nearly 20 hours on a single gallon of fuel. With 7,500 btu in the boost mode, thermostatically control with 4 automatic heat levels, the Espar heater will maintain a comfortable interior temperature without needing to idle the vehicles engine. Espar Coolant heaters are offered with timers that allow you to preset your heater preheat time so the vehicle, ie: school bus, pickup truck, car, is ready to go when you are.
Since 1989, Espar of Michigan has proudly represented the complete Espar product line. We have trained service personnel and a fully stocked parts department to handle any service needs you may require. Most Espar heaters have a two year 100% parts and labor warranty and are CARB approved.
At today's fuel prices, an Espar D2 Airtronic, pays for itself in as little as 40 days! Isn't time you came over to the "warm side of Espar" and increase your fuel mileage and comfort? Call us today to make an appointment.
- Bunk Heaters - Espar Airtronic D2/D4
- Engine Coolant Heaters - Espar Hydronic 5 (17,000 btu) - Hydronic 35 (120,000 btu)
- Cargo / Beverage Trailer applications - Espar Airtronic D5 (18,800 btu) - Espar D8LC (27,300 btu)
In most class 7 and 8 truck applications, the Airtronic D2 will keep you plenty warm in the winter time, for engine preheat, the Hydronic 5 with its 17,000 btu output and 2 stage heat level will raise the coolant temperature approximately 100 degrees above ambient within an hours time. So, if it is 0 deg. outside and the Espar Hydronic 5 runs for one hour, the engine temperature will be about 100 deg. Warm as a summer day!
Rigmasterpower Auxiliary Power Unit
The Rigmaster APU is a complete stand-alone power unit designed to provide heat, air conditioning, battery charging, engine heating and 6000 watts of 110 volt household power for interior creature comfort. Typical applications for the Rigmasterpower APU would be:
- Class 8 tractor
- Straight truck
When we say the Rigmasterpower APU is a Stand-Alone unit, what we mean is, the Rigmasterpower APU does not tie into any of the trucks component systems. That is, the only thing we use from your truck is fuel from your tank (.3 gph compared to the trucks 1.0+ gph when idling) and your trucks battery to start the Rigmaster, and after that the Rigmaster charges your trucks battery as necessary. The Rigmaster even has a feature that monitors the trucks battery voltage. At 12.0 volts, the Rigmasterpower unit will automatically start and charge the batteries! Other "Autostart" features include a timer function to set what time you would like for the Rigmasterpower unit to start, in the case you were away from the truck for a few days and the "Auto Temp" feature that allows the Rigmasterpower unit to cycle on and off based on your desired interior temperature setting, further saving fuel.
Typical installations of the Rigmasterpower APU take about a day to complete. If an overnight stay is required, we have negotiated discounted rates at nearby hotels. Espar of Michigan is conveniently located near the Detroit Metro Airport at I-94 and exit 198. There is adequate room to drop your trailer if needed.
Rigmaster has been producing the Rigmasterpower APU since 1993. Fifteen years later and thousands of satisfied customers, a Rigmasterpower Stand-Alone APU is still the first choice in APU's.
Since 2002, Espar of Michigan has been proud to represent the Rigmasterpower APU. We have trained staff for servicing, warranty, and technical assistance as well as service parts for repair.
At today's fuel prices, 4.00+, a Rigmaster APU pays for its self in as little as 10 months. Isn't time you stopped idling and started enjoying the benefits and comfort of the Rigmasterpower APU?
Dirna Battery Powered Air Conditioning
Dirna Corp. manufactures 12 volt cooling devices. These units are available in evaporative coolers and R-134 compressor systems that deliver 4700 btu's. These systems come in roof top or split systems, whichever best suits the application and operator.
Advantages to a battery powered system are:
- Quiet cooling comfort (no APU engine noise)
- Minimal maintenance
- Low weight
- No fuel / No emissions
- CARB compliant
The Dirna Revolution and Mochilla are evaporative coolers that use only water and a small amount of battery power. In most cases, it is not necessary to add the additional cost and weight of auxiliary batteries. The 12 volt Revolution and Mochilla units draw as little as 0.8 amps in low mode and a maximum of 8.0 in its highest capacity. Using only water as its fuel, it is by far the most environmentally friendly cooling product on the earth.
The Dirna Mini Cool (roof mount) and Dinamic (split system) are 12 volt - R134A air conditioning systems. These systems produce 4700 Btu's of cooling power with multiple fan speeds and multiple compressors to minimize current draw. The Mini Cool and Dinamic require the use of auxiliary batteries. These batteries will be isolated from the starting battering by a battery separator and will be recharged as you drive down the road. Average recharge time is 4-6 hours of driving.
FantasicVent
The FantasticVent is a great product! Multiple fan speeds, thermostatically controlled, reversible, and even with a rain sensor, the FantasticVent is a great low cost cooling device to get you through some hot summer days and nights. Auxiiary batteries are not required when using a FantasticVent. Installation takes about two hours.
Auxiliary Battery Systems
For Cargo Vans and operators looking for additional battery power requirements, Espar of Michigan offers auxiliary battery packages. All auxiliary battery packages include a battery separator to isolate the starting battery from the auxiliary batteries. This way, you will always have full starting capacity when it comes time to start the engine.
Auxiliary Battery requirements are based on your house loads. For example, all your appliances, (inverter, microwave, TV, laptop charge) have a wattage rating. Determining the combined power usuage will help you determine the amount of auxiliary battery power you need. Espar of Michigan can help you with this.
Tripplite Inverter/Chargers
Tripplite is a global leader in the manufacturing of inverters/chargers. An inverter changes 12 Volts (battery power) to 110 Volts (household power) allowing you to operate typical household appliances such as microwave ovens, TV's, laptop battery chargers. Basically, anything that runs off of 110 volts can be operated through the inverter. We have inverters available in any power output you may require. Typical inverters range from 1000Watts to 3000 watts depending on your needs.
Along with basic with basic inverters, Espar of Michigan also has available, Inverter/Chargers. These inverter/chargers, through the use of a shore power hookup, allow you to charge your auxiliary batteries while sitting still. An example might be at a RV park or a truck stop with electrical hookups. You could be resting comfortably with your Dirna Mini Cool keeping you cool, watching your favorite TV show and charging your auxiliary batteries without the engine running, sacrificing precious fuel mileage.
